OUR LEADERSHIP

ELDERS AND PASTORS

MIKE MUÑOZ

Elder and Pastor

After a 35-year career in the fire service, Mike and his wife Stacey moved to the Inland Northwest. Mike served almost 5 years as the Family Pastor at Genesis Church in Spokane Valley prior to moving to Bonners Ferry.

The son of a military veteran, Mike has lived across America and even spent three years in Madrid, Spain. He became a Christian in high school and volunteered with the high school ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ for many years. He and Stacey were married in 1984, they have two grown children, and four grandchildren. Mike graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary (M.A.R.) and earned a Doctorate in Bioethics from Loyola University in Chicago (D.Be.). He has written several journal articles in the field of bioethics concerning beginning- and end-of-life issues.

Mike was first ordained in 2004. When he isn’t reading or helping Stacey with a variety of farm animals, he loves spending time with his grandchildren. He and Stacey are passionate about helping couples realize the joy of marriage and raising kids to the glory of God.

MATT NICHOLS

Elder

Matt and his wife Tiffany have been married since 2005 and have four wonderful kids, Noah (18), Cora (15), Emma (12) and Asa (10).  Upon graduation from Liberty University, Matt served as an officer in the US Marine Corps.  Following his time in the military, Matt and Tiffany moved to the Houston, Texas area where they started a family and lived and worked for the next 15 years.

In 2021 Matt and Tiffany made the move to the Pacific Northwest after hearing God’s call to move out of the suburbs of Houston and raise their family in the mountains of North Idaho.  They came to Covenant Bible Church in 2022 and have been blessed to be a part of a growing, genuine and faithful congregation since that time.

In addition to his duties as an elder, Matt currently works as an airline pilot for a national US airline.  Tiffany works full time as a homemaker and homeschooling mom, and “part time Uber driver” for their kids.  They enjoy spending time together as a family working on their homestead in the woods, re-watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy on a quarterly basis, hiking, camping, and taking family trips together to experience God’s wonderful world.
